Loft-Kultur: vernissage for the exhibition by Tobias Hermeling

Born in Halle an der Saale, the artist Tobias Hermeling lives and works near Vienna in Austria. In his work, Hermeling is interested in the traces and fragments of being human. They are, so to speak, the evidence of our existence, which he reassembles interpretively and shapes into poetic statements. He wants to get to the bottom of how human interaction works. He is driven by curiosity. The fragments are his material.

More than 100 visitors came to experience the opening of the exhibition. A special highlight was the laudatory speech given by the well-known media psychologist Prof. Jo Groebel – a good friend of the artist and a connoisseur of his work . In it, Jo Groebel offered an emotional insight into Hermeling's art. At the get-together that followed, our guests used the inspiring atmosphere for lively conversation.

The vernissage for the exhibition “clone” was already the eighth edition of our successful cultural salon series. Since June 2017 we have regularly been inviting people to Berlin's Schiller-Kiez for exhibitions, concerts, talks, inspiration and networking. With Loft-Kultur we are creating a place for exchanging ideas between people from culture, media, politics and business. Our aim is to create a space in which communication and exchange take place on every level. We are looking for the inspiring moment that goes beyond normal working life. That's why our factory loft deliberately transforms itself from a pure workspace into a place that doesn't lose sight of the working world, but connects individuals on a professional level and opens up new perspectives through creative input.

This vernissage was also a special premiere: since this year, our exhibitions have been curated by the Berlin “Galerie Gesellschaft”, headed by Heike Saborowski. This fruitful collaboration allows us to bring even stronger impulses from the art world into our exhibitions.

The exhibition “clone” can be visited on weekdays between 11 am and 5 pm at our premises in Berlin's Schiller-Kiez.
