Aziz Ansari

Aziz Ansari is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and director who was born on February 23, 1983, in Columbia, South Carolina. He is one of the defining voices of modern stand-up comedy and made his name primarily through his sharp observations on relationships, pop culture, and identity.

Aziz Ansari achieved his breakthrough as Tom Haverford in the successful NBC comedy series "Parks and Recreation" (2009-2015), where he shone alongside Amy Poehler and Rashida Jones. The role of the self-absorbed yet endearing entrepreneur made Ansari a fan favorite and opened the doors to a major career. In parallel, he established himself as a stand-up comedian with several widely acclaimed comedy specials, including "Dangerously Delicious" (2012) and "Buried Alive" (2013).

Aziz Ansari reached an artistic peak with the Netflix series "Master of None" (2015-2021), which he created and produced and in which he played the lead role of Dev Shah. For this series, which sensitively addresses themes such as racism, career, and modern dating, Ansari received numerous awards, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe. In cinema, Aziz Ansari appeared in films such as "Funny People" (2009), "30 Minutes or Less" (2011), and as a voice actor in "Ice Age: Collision Course" (2016).
