Audio description

Audio description is one part of an accessible film version and is aimed at people with impaired vision.

In the past, audio-described versions were mainly known from public broadcasters. Today – not least due to changed funding guidelines – this special sound version increasingly finds its way into cinemas, onto DVD and Blu-ray and into streaming services.

As a partner for your audio-described version, we not only bring many years of experience but also advise you on all questions about the production. On request we take care of the complete process: from writing the script to the recording and the final mix. For the texts we work exclusively with authors who have additional training in this field. Having the script approved by a blind person goes without saying. Going beyond these minimum standards, we have the voice recording supervised by blind directors – which further increases the quality of the audio description.

At the end of the production you receive a final sound version from us that you can use directly for DCP, DVD, Blu-ray or as an additional audio track for streaming services.
