Voice work has been part of her life since childhood, when she won reading competitions at the age of 11. Later, as a health journalist and book author, she recorded her own texts and made them available to radio stations. Until Radio La Gomera called to hire her. She didn't want to leave her adopted home of Hamburg, so she headed to NDR Radio instead, where she received her first voice training from Alfred Rücker. Back in East Frisia, she completed her training at the voice acting academy.
