Sina Hoffmann

Trained as an actress and voice actress (private training at Deutsche POP), followed by acting lessons with Gabriele Schleicher and Elisa Bannat. For almost ten years, I've been working in dubbing, animation, games and audio drama, as well as commercials, corporate and e-learning.

This year, I began ongoing coaching with Tobias Müller (voice actor and dubbing director).

From 2018 to 2022, I was musical director and assistant director at the Berliner KinderTheater, where I also did the live announcements in front of audiences of up to 800. Since July 2026, I've been working full-time as a studio and dubbing voice actress.

My microphone is my home, and my voice is how I express myself. I can't imagine anything more fulfilling than what I do today.

I'm especially drawn to roles that demand more emotionally: cheeky boys, bubbly girls, creatures and characters who go from laughing to crying in a single sentence. I'm just as happy voicing grown-up roles with a warm, full voice, from the strong heroine to the enigmatic antagonist.

When I speak, I'm not looking for the beautiful sound, but for the moment beneath it: the doubt in a sentence, the joy in an exclamation.

More than 130 completed productions, all with a consistent 5.0-star rating: commercials, explainer videos, e-learning, audiobooks, games and dubbing for clients in Germany and abroad.

In the animated series "Feenteens" (streaming on Amazon Prime), I voice the fairy Bonnie, one of the five main characters. In the children's movement game "Gamo" by reFit Systems, I am the lead character Tobi, who guides and cheers on kids through their physiotherapy exercises. I have also voiced games for QUBS and Brakence, and commercials for Lexware, Rieker and Olico IT, among others.

I record in my own studio, and live direction via Zoom is no problem. I usually deliver within two to three days, or within 24 hours on request.

The Dream, and How I Was Talked Out of It

Like probably many of my fellow voice actors, my biggest childhood dream was to become a dubbing voice actress when I grew up.

As I got older and researched what I would need to get there, all I found was information telling me: you need at least a state-accredited acting degree, and only the most talented get one; if you didn't start as a child, you have no chance at all; and plenty more telling me I would never make it. Scared off and sad, like the child I still was, I put the dream aside to do something "sensible" with my life.

Fate Is Calling

Years later, right after finishing school, I happened to walk past a sign: Open House for Voice Actors.

On a spontaneous impulse, I walked into the building, signed up and was assigned to a group of participants.

Then the moment came. For the very first time, I stood behind a real microphone in a real studio and got to record my first short text (probably my worst recording ever, but definitely my best memory). In that moment, it couldn't have been clearer.

This is where I belong.

Growing Up Means Going Your Own Way

After that experience, everything was decided. I enrolled in private training, completed it successfully and went freelance.

My path wasn't always straight or "the way it's supposed to be." I took a few detours and learned a lot from other fields. And today, with all my experience, I've finally made it: I can make a living from my calling.

And I'm endlessly grateful for that!
