Joanna Semmelrogge began her career at the age of ten as a child voice artist at Bayrischer Rundfunk in Munich. She was immediately captivated by the experience of focusing solely on her voice and bringing various audiobook characters to life. Those years as a child voice artist – being picked up from school by taxi and driven to the recording studio – were full of adventure, unforgettable, and formative: voice work also sparked her passion for acting. After several years of practical experience, she completed her acting training in Hamburg in 2015. Today, in addition to audio dramas, Joanna also voices commercials and works as a dubbing actress. She has lent her voice to prominent clients such as VisaCard, DMAX, Edeka, and Huawei. The Munich native is also skilled in dialects: Bavarian and Low German – the latter learned at the Ohnsorg Theater in Hamburg.
