Voice artist Uta-Maria Torp

After training at the School of Drama in Kiel, Uta-Maria Torp performed at numerous theatres: at the Schleswig-Holstein State Theatre, where she even won a young talent award, at the Schauspielhaus Kiel, the Saarbrücken State Theatre, the Freie Theater Salzburg, the Detmold State Theatre and the Grips Theatre Berlin. Since 1993, she has dedicated herself full-time to voice work. Uta-Maria is particularly active in the field of audio description. Over the years, she has already earned seven audio film awards. Another memorable moment in Uta-Maria's career as a voice artist occurred at the Berlinale, where for several years she has been performing live dubbing of children's films, voicing all the characters. While dubbing a Swedish animated film in which Stellan Skarsgård voices the inspector – an old frog – in the original version, he personally praised her for the beautiful voice work. With her sonorous, authoritative voice, Uta-Maria not only provides audio descriptions and dubbing, but also enjoys voicing documentaries, radio features, corporate films, radio plays and audiobooks.
