For one day, Emma and Jona got to know the job of a sound engineer. In our recording studio, our sound engineers Johanna Wienert and Fabian Lackas showed the two of them how to produce a radio play – both in front of the microphone and behind the mixing desk.
For a whole day, Johanna and Fabian took time to show the two schoolgirls Emma and Jona everything that goes on in a recording and dubbing studio. Of course, that included the two girls taking their turn in front of the microphone. How the recordings are then edited, what sound design means and how everything is mixed and mastered at the end gave Emma and Jona an interesting insight into the job of a sound engineer. At the end, they were able to take home the first radio play they had produced themselves.
