Dwayne Douglas Johnson was born on May 2, 1972, in Hayward, California, and is known as an actor, producer, and former professional wrestler. Before becoming one of Hollywood's most successful personalities, Dwayne Johnson achieved worldwide fame as "The Rock" in the wrestling organization WWE, where he became one of the sport's greatest icons.
Dwayne Johnson made his breakthrough as an actor in 2001 with a supporting role in "The Mummy Returns," which directly landed him the lead role in the spin-off "The Scorpion King" (2002). In the following years, Johnson established himself in numerous action blockbusters and developed into one of the most commercially successful actors worldwide. He gained particular recognition for his role as Luke Hobbs in the "Fast & Furious" franchise starting with "Fast Five" (2011), which he continued in "Hobbs & Shaw" (2019). Dwayne Johnson played other defining roles in films such as "San Andreas" (2015), "Central Intelligence" (2016), "Rampage" (2018), and as the title hero in "Black Adam" (2022).
Johnson also proved his talent as a voice actor, notably as the demigod Maui in Disney's "Moana" (2016).
