Miles Teller was born on February 20, 1987, in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, and works as an actor. He initially made a name for himself with independent productions before also proving himself in major Hollywood productions.
Miles Teller achieved his breakthrough in 2013 with the tragicomedy "The Spectacular Now," in which he portrayed a charming but aimless teenager alongside Shailene Woodley. The following year, he played an important supporting character in the novel adaptation "Divergent" and reprised this role in the sequels of the dystopian film series. Teller delivered his most compelling performance to date in 2014's "Whiplash" as ambitious drummer Andrew Neiman, who suffers under a tyrannical music teacher. The intense portrayal earned him numerous awards and nominations and established him as a serious character actor.
In the following years, Miles Teller appeared in various genres, including the comic book adaptation "Fantastic Four" (2015), the war drama "Thank You for Your Service" (2017), and the political thriller "Too Old to Die Young" (2019). He received particular attention in 2022 as Lieutenant Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw in "Top Gun: Maverick," the successful sequel to the 1986 cult film, in which he starred alongside Tom Cruise.
