James McAvoy was born on 21 April 1979 in Glasgow, Scotland, and is today considered one of the most versatile actors of his generation. The British performer has captivated audiences for over two decades with his intense presence and multifaceted range on screen.
James McAvoy achieved his international breakthrough in 2005 in the film adaptation "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", in which he portrayed Mr. Tumnus. Just one year later, he impressed in "The Last King of Scotland" alongside Forest Whitaker. James McAvoy made his definitive leap to international stardom in 2007 with "Atonement", for which he received numerous awards.
