Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson was born on 13 May 1986 in London and is internationally known as an actor, model, and musician. His career began with minor roles on British television before he was introduced to a worldwide audience in 2005 as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Robert Pattinson achieved his definitive breakthrough in 2008 with the role of Edward Cullen in Twilight, a vampire romance based on the bestselling series by Stephenie Meyer. The film series turned him into a teen idol and global star. In the following years, he portrayed Edward Cullen in all subsequent instalments of the successful saga, including The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009), The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), and the two concluding films Breaking Dawn (2011 and 2012).
After the end of the Twilight era, Robert Pattinson deliberately turned to more demanding and artistically ambitious projects. He worked with renowned directors such as David Cronenberg on Cosmopolis (2012) and Maps to the Stars (2014), with Werner Herzog on Queen of the Desert (2015), and with the Safdie Brothers on Good Time (2017). He received great critical acclaim for his performance in The Lighthouse (2019) alongside Willem Dafoe. In 2020, Robert Pattinson took on the iconic role of the Dark Knight in The Batman, which underscored his status as a versatile character actor.
The German voice
Actor and voice artist Johannes Raspe is the regular German dubbing voice of no fewer than three actors, and his résumé is equally impressive in other respects. He regularly lends his voice to British actors Robert Pattinson and Jamie Dornan, as well as Scottish actor James McAvoy. Johannes made his first recordings in the dubbing studio at the age of eleven and took on his first lead dubbing roles as a child, including the character Fleckerl in the puppet series "Flickerl und Fleckerl" and Mark Wedloes in "Gentle Ben". There are plenty of opportunities to hear Johannes' voice. Whether as the German voice of Robert Pattinson in the Twilight Saga films, as Joe Anderson in The Chumscrubber, as Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Brick, or as Jake Gyllenhaal in Donnie Darko. Johannes is also the German voice of Ethan the mammoth in Ice Age: Continental Drift and provided the voice-over for the VOX docu-soap "Mieten, Kaufen, Wohnen" until 2016.
