Emilia Clarke was born on October 23, 1986, in London, England. Even as a child, Emilia was fascinated by the acting profession. In 2009, she successfully graduated from the Drama Centre London.

After her first minor roles as a television actress, her big breakthrough came in 2011. When actress Tamzin Merchant dropped out, the role of Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series 'Game of Thrones' was cast with Emilia Clarke. In the American fantasy television series by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, based on the novel series 'A Song of Ice and Fire' by George R. R. Martin, Emilia Clarke portrays the youngest child of King Aerys II.

In 2015, Emilia Clarke played the role of Sarah Connor alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the fifth film of the Terminator franchise, 'Terminator Genisys'.
