Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman was born on June 9, 1981, in Jerusalem, Israel. 

Natalie Portman achieved her international breakthrough as an actress at the age of just 12. After prevailing against more than 2,000 applicants, she played the role of Mathilda Lando alongside Jean Reano in the 1993 French film 'Léon: The Professional'. As early as 1996, she appeared in Tim Burton's 'Mars Attacks!' and Woody Allen's 'Everyone Says I Love You'. In 1999, Natalie Portman played the role of Ann August alongside Susan Sarandon, directed by Wayne Wang. For this role, Natalie Portman won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.

However, Natalie Portman's most famous role was undoubtedly that of Queen Padmé Amidala in 'Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace' (1999), 'Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones' (2002), and 'Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith' (2005).

For her role in the film 'Closer' (2004) alongside Julia Roberts, Jude Law, and Clive Owen, Natalie Portman won a Golden Globe in 2005 and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. That same year, Natalie Portman also appeared in the comic book adaptation 'V for Vendetta', directed by James McTeigue.

For her role as ballet dancer Nina Sayers in the film 'Black Swan' (2010), Natalie Portman received an Oscar and a Golden Globe in 2011.

Natalie Portman's German dubbing voice is provided by Berlin-based actress Manja Doering. On occasion, Natalie Portman has also been dubbed in the German versions of her films by Marie Bierstedt.
