James van der Beek was born on March 8, 1977, in Cheshire, Connecticut, and is best known as an actor for his role in one of the most successful teen series of the late 1990s.
James van der Beek achieved his breakthrough in 1998 with the lead role of Dawson Leery in the cult series "Dawson's Creek" (1998-2003). He took on roles in films such as "The Rules of Attraction" (2002) and showcased his comedic talent in the comedy series "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" (2012-2013) by playing an exaggerated version of himself. He also appeared in series such as "CSI: Cyber" (2015-2016) and "Pose" (2018-2019).
