Ariane Jacobi is a versatile artist who pursues her passion for voice and language across various fields. With a Master's degree in German Philology, Art History, and Music Education (University of Cologne, 1995), she has established a solid academic foundation for her work. Her career began in primary school when WDR was looking for children's voices for radio plays. Due to her deep voice, she was often cast in roles as a robber or for "boys' voices" – an experience she now shares with a smile. But what started as a way to earn gummy bears and comics developed into a lifelong love of storytelling. Ariane Jacobi has been working continuously in the media sector since 1985. She has worked as a news presenter for Deutsche Welle and Domradio and is known as a radio host and author at WDR and Deutschlandfunk. She regularly lends her voice to audiobooks and literary readings, including for the Archdiocese of Cologne. Beyond her work as a voice artist, Ariane Jacobi is also an acclaimed jazz singer with her own ensemble, the Ariane Jacobi Formation. With her ensemble, she has released a CD on NRW Label and Ponycanyon Japan and is also active as a vocal coach. Ariane Jacobi loves telling stories through her voice and demonstrating her versatility in both voice-over artistry and vocal performance.
