Ian Russell is a gaming enthusiast through and through. With great persistence, he improvised entertainment programmes for his children at the dinner table, which prompted his wife to give him a one-day professional voice acting workshop for Christmas 2012. Eight years later, he won the One Voice Award as best male voice artist of the year. With his great eye for detail, infectious passion for performance and versatile use of his voice, he quickly became the advertising voice for major clients such as Intel and Olipop. He also delights a broad audience with his interpretation of numerous video game characters: his voicing of the Payday 2 character "Locke" was not only awarded, but also brought him the surprise of being asked for an autograph at a convention he was merely attending as a guest.
