As a child, Johanna Maria Zehendner spent hours listening to audiobooks, and she could recite her favorite cassettes by heart. She has maintained and professionalized her passion for voice work ever since: she studied speech arts and speech education in Stuttgart, voiced radio features for SWR, and worked as a voiceover artist for ARTE. Corporate films (e.g., for Bose), commercials (e.g., TV spots for Barilla), and museum audio guides are also part of her repertoire. She was particularly delighted when her work eventually brought her to the same microphone as Rufus Beck, the German dubbing voice of her childhood hero Harry Potter.
