Jochen Drechsler completed his acting training at the renowned Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich and subsequently became a permanent ensemble member at Staatstheater Kassel. He attended workshops with voice artists such as Gustl Weishappel, Michael Peter and Kornelia Boje. For several years now, Jochen has been living in Berlin, where he works as a freelance actor and voice artist. Whether it's commercials, voice-overs for documentaries, audiobooks or corporate films - the challenge of telling stories, evoking emotions and entertaining or informing listeners using only his voice continues to fascinate him to this day. The Grimme-Institut also appreciated his young and friendly voice, awarding him the Deutscher Radiopreis in 2015 in the "Best Comedy" category for his work as voice artist and writer. Jochen has already worked as a voice artist for WDR, SWR, Arte and Deutschlandfunk, as well as in advertising for major clients including Lufthansa, Lidl, Coca-Cola, Saturn and Viba. Incidentally, even as a child he would secretly listen to late-night radio plays and host his own radio shows during the day in his childhood bedroom.
