Daniel Wroughton Craig was born on 2 March 1968 in Chester, Cheshire, England. The British actor completed his acting training from 1988 to 1991 at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
He has been appearing in television and film productions since 1992. His first supporting roles in internationally successful films included the character of Alex West alongside Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) and the role of Connor Rooney alongside Tom Hanks and Paul Newman in Road to Perdition (2002).
Daniel Craig has been playing his most famous role since 2006: In Casino Royale, he portrayed James Bond for the first time, joining the ranks after Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan as the sixth actor to play the British secret agent. This was followed by Quantum of Solace in 2008, Skyfall in 2012 and Spectre in 2015.
In 2005, Daniel Craig played Mossad agent Steve in Munich, directed by Steven Spielberg. In 2007, Daniel Craig appeared alongside Dakota Blue Richards and Nicole Kidman in the role of Lord Asriel in The Golden Compass.
