Danny Glover

Danny Glover was born on July 22, 1946, in San Francisco, California, and is internationally known as an actor, producer, and political activist. With his distinctive presence and characteristic face, he is considered one of Hollywood's defining African American performers.

Danny Glover achieved his breakthrough in the mid-1980s with the role of Roger Murtaugh in "Lethal Weapon" (1987) alongside Mel Gibson. The chemistry between the two leads made the film a huge success and led to three sequels - "Lethal Weapon 2" (1989), "Lethal Weapon 3" (1992), and "Lethal Weapon 4" (1998). The character of the aging cop who constantly repeats "I'm too old for this shit" became his trademark.

Parallel to the "Lethal Weapon" series, Danny Glover demonstrated his talent in demanding dramas. In Steven Spielberg's "The Color Purple" (1985), he played the brutal husband Mister, and in "Places in the Heart" (1984), he impressed as a migrant worker. He received multiple awards for his role in "To Sleep with Anger" (1990). Other significant films included "Predator 2" (1990), "Angels in the Outfield" (1994), and "Dreamgirls" (2006).
