Kevin James

Kevin James, born April 26, 1965, in Mineola, New York, is an actor, comedian, and producer. He became known primarily for his roles in sitcoms and comedies, where he frequently portrays likeable everyday guys with a tendency for mishaps.

Kevin James achieved his breakthrough in the late 1990s with the CBS sitcom "The King of Queens" (1998-2007), in which he played the loveable parcel delivery driver Doug Heffernan. The series ran for nine seasons and made him one of the most popular comedy stars on US television. At the same time, Kevin James established himself in the film business and collaborated several times with fellow actor Adam Sandler, including in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" (2007) and "Grown Ups" (2010).

As a leading man, Kevin James demonstrated his comedic talent in films such as "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" (2009), in which he portrayed an overzealous security guard, and its sequel "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" (2015). Other well-known films featuring Kevin James include "Zookeeper" (2011), "Here Comes the Boom" (2012), and "Pixels" (2015). Since 2016, he has also appeared in the sitcom "Kevin Can Wait".
