Robert Redford

Charles Robert Redford, Jr. was born on August 18, 1936, in Santa Monica, California (USA) and works as a film actor, film director, and film producer.

After Robert Redford appeared mainly in television productions and television series at the beginning of his career, he started working as a film actor in 1962 with the role of Loomis in the anti-war film War Hunt. With the film Barefoot in the Park in 1967, Robert Redford finally celebrated his breakthrough as a film star.

In 1973, Robert Redford starred in the role of Johnny Hooker alongside Paul Newman in the film The Sting, which became one of the most successful films of the 1970s.

Robert Redford has appeared in many outstanding films throughout his career. For example, in 1976 he played the role of Bob Woodward alongside Dustin Hoffman as Carl Bernstein in the film about the Watergate affair All the President's Men. In 1985 he played Denys George Finch Hatton alongside Meryl Streep as Karen Blixen in the film Out of Africa.

For his first work as a director on the film Ordinary People (1980), Robert Redford received the Oscar and the Golden Globe for Best Director in 1981. In this film, however, he did not appear as an actor. He had already received a Golden Globe as Best Newcomer in 1966. In 2002, Robert Redford was awarded the Honorary Oscar for his lifetime achievement.

Since the film Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here in 1969, Robert Redford has been voiced in the German dubbing versions primarily by Rolf Schult, who died in 2013. During this time, Christian Brückner was also the German voice of Robert Redford in some films. Since 2013, Kaspar Eichel has been the main German dubbing voice of Robert Redford.

Kaspar Eichel ist als Synchronsprecher vielen bekannt. So ist er unter anderem die deutsche Stimme von Robert Redford ("Von Löwen und Lämmern"), Sir Patrick Stewart ("X-Men: Zukunft ist Vergangenheit") oder Richard Dreyfuss "RED – Älter. Härter. Besser". Er absolvierte seine Schauspielausbildung an der renommierten Schauspielschule Ernst Busch in Berlin. Im Anschluss an sein Studium stand er auf vielen verschiedenen Theaterbühnen. Unter anderem spielte er am Theater der Bergarbeiter in Senftenberg, am Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam und am Deutschen Theater in Berlin. Daneben war Kaspar Eichel auch in verschiedenen Film- und Fernsehproduktionen zu sehen. So dürfte er vielen noch aus der Serie "Hallo Robbie!", in welcher er mehrere Jahre die Rolle des Fischers Dietmar übernahm, bekannt sein. Dem Synchronschauspiel widmet sich Kaspar Eichel bereits seit Mitte der 60er Jahre. Mit seiner rauchigen, sonoren und kräftigen Stimme hört man ihn aber nicht nur in Filmen mit bekannten Hollywoodstars, sondern auch in Commercials, Imagefilmen und Hörspielen.
