John Turturro

John Turturro was born on February 28, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York, and works as an actor, director, and screenwriter. With his distinctive face and intense acting style, he has made a name for himself in Hollywood as a versatile character actor who excels in both independent productions and major studio films.

John Turturro achieved his breakthrough in the late 1980s through his collaboration with the Coen Brothers. In "Miller's Crossing" (1990), he played the nervous gangster Bernie Bernbaum, before taking on the title role of the neurotic screenwriter in "Barton Fink" (1991) - a performance that earned him the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival.
