Nick Nolte

Nicholas King 'Nick' Nolte was born on February 8, 1941, in Omaha, Nebraska, USA.

His international breakthrough as a film actor came in 1977 with the film 'The Deep', directed by Peter Yates. Throughout the 1980s, Nick Nolte became one of Hollywood's most sought-after actors.

In 1991, he played the role of Sam Bowden in 'Cape Fear', directed by Martin Scorsese. That same year, he starred alongside Barbra Streisand, who also directed, in the film 'The Prince of Tides'.

Throughout his career, Nick Nolte has received three Oscar nominations: in 1991 for Best Actor in 'The Prince of Tides', in 1998 for Best Actor in 'Affliction' by Paul Schrader, and in 2012 for Best Supporting Actor in the film 'Warrior'.

The primary German dubbing voice for Nick Nolte in the German synchronized versions of his films is Thomas Danneberg. Berlin-based actor Thomas 'Tommi' Piper has also provided the German voice for individual Nick Nolte roles.
