Bruce Willis

Walter Bruce Willis was born on March 19, 1955, in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, as the son of a US American soldier and his German mother. In New York, he gained his first acting experience at various theaters. From 1985, he appeared in the detective series Moonlighting as private detective David Addison alongside Cybill Shepherd. For this role, Willis received an Emmy and a Golden Globe in 1987. Bruce Willis achieved his breakthrough as an actor in 1988 with his role as New York police officer John McClane in Die Hard.

Bruce Willis is almost always dubbed in German by Manfred Lehmann. In Moonlighting, Death Becomes Her, Blind Date, and Four Rooms, Bruce Willis was given his German voice by Ronald Nitschke. For the third installment of the Die Hard series, Die Hard with a Vengeance, Bruce Willis was voiced by Thomas Danneberg in the German dubbing version, as Manfred Lehmann was working as an actor in front of the camera himself during the production of the dubbing.
