Dean O'Gorman is a New Zealand actor, born on 1 December 1976 in Auckland. He became known primarily through roles in fantasy and adventure productions and has made a name for himself internationally as a versatile performer.
Dean O'Gorman achieved his breakthrough in his native New Zealand, where he appeared in various television series as a teenager. He gained international recognition through his role as Fili in Peter Jackson's epic film trilogy "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" (2012), "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" (2013), and "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" (2014).
