Harald Effenberg trained as an actor from 1975 to 1978 at the Fritz Kirchhoff School in Berlin. He later went on to train as a voice actor, studying under Joachim Kunzendorf among others. Back in 1978, Joachim "Hucky" Tennstedt simply took Harald Effenberg along to the studio one day. Since then, he has been heard in numerous dubbing productions, lending his voice to many well-known actors. Harald Effenberg says he particularly enjoys playing "quirky old characters with a comedic touch". Although radio plays and dubbing are his forte, he also works on commercials and corporate films. His credits include spots for Apollo-Optik, among others.
