Speaking was a hobby for Marika Mettke from childhood, one she invested enormous time and passion in. She read countless books aloud and repeated entire pages whenever she wasn't satisfied with her performance. Later, she combined this passion with her work as a journalist and became a radio presenter, first at Jazzradio Berlin and then at radioeins from RBB. She has now been voicing productions across a wide range of genres and industries for 20 years. She lends her voice to commercials as well as documentaries (including work for ARTE), audio guides, audio descriptions and dubbing projects, and counts major brands such as Milka and Whiskas among her clients. A personal highlight was being personally selected by Wim Wenders as the German voice for the main character in his feature film "The Beautiful Days of Aranjuez".
