Ashley Judd, born April 19, 1968, in Granada Hills, California, is an American actress and activist. She grew up in an artistically inclined family - her mother Naomi Judd and her sister Wynonna Judd were successful as a country duo. Ashley Judd initially studied French at the University of Kentucky before pursuing her acting career in Hollywood.
