Ashley Judd

Ashley Judd, born April 19, 1968, in Granada Hills, California, is an American actress and activist. She grew up in an artistically inclined family - her mother Naomi Judd and her sister Wynonna Judd were successful as a country duo. Ashley Judd initially studied French at the University of Kentucky before pursuing her acting career in Hollywood.

Ashley Judd had her breakthrough in the early 1990s with roles in independent productions. The thriller "Ruby in Paradise" (1993) earned her first critical acclaim. In the following years, she established herself as a versatile actress in suspenseful films such as "Kiss the Girls" (1997) alongside Morgan Freeman and "Double Jeopardy" (1999), which became one of her biggest commercial successes. In "Where the Heart Is" (2000), Ashley Judd demonstrated her dramatic talent alongside Natalie Portman.

The actress took on further defining roles in "High Crimes" (2002) with Morgan Freeman, "De-Lovely" (2004) as Linda Porter, and in the science fiction thriller "Dolphin Tale" (2011). Ashley Judd also appeared in television series, including "Missing" (2012) and "Berlin Station" (2016-2019).
