Jamie Oliver

Jamie Oliver is a British chef, television personality and restaurant owner who was born on 27 May 1975 in Clavering, Essex. He became known as a television chef and advocate of healthy eating, particularly for children and young people.

Jamie Oliver achieved his breakthrough in 1999 with the BBC show "The Naked Chef", which made him internationally famous and introduced his relaxed, uncomplicated cooking style to a wide audience. The series ran for several seasons and established Jamie Oliver as a media star. In the following years, he developed numerous other formats, including "Jamie's School Dinners" (2005), in which he campaigned for better school meals in Britain, as well as "Jamie's Ministry of Food" (2008) and "Jamie's 30 Minute Meals" (2010). His committed campaign for healthier nutrition and against childhood obesity earned him worldwide recognition.

Jamie Oliver opened several restaurant chains, founded the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation and published numerous successful cookbooks. His television shows were sold to many countries and made him one of the most famous culinary personalities worldwide. For his social commitment, he was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 2003.
