Calista Flockhart

Calista Flockhart was born on November 11, 1964, in Freeport, Illinois, and is an American actress. She became known primarily through her defining television roles, which made her a star of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Calista Flockhart achieved her breakthrough in 1997 with the lead role of lawyer Ally McBeal in the series of the same name, "Ally McBeal." The quirky legal drama became a cultural phenomenon and earned Flockhart numerous awards, including a Golden Globe Award and several Emmy nominations. Her portrayal of the neurotic yet endearing Ally McBeal made Calista Flockhart an overnight television star and defined an entire era of American television.

After "Ally McBeal" ended in 2002, Calista Flockhart worked in both film and television. She appeared in productions including "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (1999) and "Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her" (2000). From 2006 to 2011, she played the role of Kitty Walker in the successful family drama "Brothers & Sisters," which brought her great acclaim once again. Later, Calista Flockhart took on a recurring role as Cat Grant in the superhero series "Supergirl" (2015-2021).
