David Thewlis

David Thewlis was born on 20 March 1963 in Blackpool, England, and works as an actor, director and writer. With his distinctive intensity and transformative performances, David Thewlis has established himself over decades as one of the most versatile British character actors.

David Thewlis achieved his international breakthrough in 1993 with the lead role in Mike Leigh's acclaimed drama "Naked", for which he was awarded Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival.
