Paul Reiser

Paul Reiser was born on March 30, 1956, in New York City and works as an actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He grew up in a Jewish family and began his career as a stand-up comedian before increasingly appearing as an actor in the 1980s.

Paul Reiser achieved his breakthrough with the sitcom "Mad About You" (1992-1999), in which he not only played the lead role of Paul Buchman but also served as co-creator, writer, and producer. The series about a newlywed couple in New York became a major success and earned him several Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Prior to that, he had already made a name for himself with supporting roles in films such as "Diner" (1982) and "Aliens" (1986), in which he portrayed the nervous Carter Burke.

In the following years, Paul Reiser appeared in a variety of film and television roles. He was seen in comedies such as "Beverly Hills Cop" (1984) and its sequel "Beverly Hills Cop II" (1987), played in "The War of the Roses" (1989), and made guest appearances in series such as "The Big Bang Theory" and "Stranger Things," where he portrayed Dr. Sam Owens from the second season onwards.
