Sam Neill had his breakthrough in the 1970s with roles in Australian and New Zealand cinema before gaining international recognition. Worldwide success came to him in 1993 with the role of Dr. Alan Grant in Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park. As a paleontologist fighting for survival on an island full of dinosaurs, Sam Neill became known to millions of viewers worldwide.
